It's the Lily Bee Blog hop!

Right Now It's Partytime!

Bright and fun birthday cards are always a hit, and this one is definitely bright and fun! I love the basic patterns that come in each of the new collections and this one combines papers from the Sweet Shoppe and Pinwheel collections to make a color sunburst of pattern. To add interest, I punched butterflies in the matching pattern.

"Best Day Ever"

I love, love, love this bokeh paper from the Pinwheel collection. When I used it here I thought of it as confetti in the background, a little something to make it a "celebration" card.  I layered more papers and stickers and came up with this simple sentiment card.

He's our #1

Hi friends! LOOONG time, no post. Let's just say that 2013 has thrown me some major curveballs already, one of which was that my dad died a little over a month ago. He was so dear and precious to me, very instrumental in my life. His death came as quite a shock to us, and honestly it's been really hard for me to get back in to any kind of creative frame-of-mind. BUT I'm up on the Lily Bee blog today and I have to say that it felt GOOD to create again. :)

Here's a sketch that I used to start my post.
