Top 10 layouts of 2010

Top 10 (or 12 or 14, who's counting! :) of my favorite layouts of 2010. Of course I couldn't narrow it down to JUST ten!

(with a lot of inspiration from Stephanie Howell)

(using a Studio Calico sketch inspired by Maggie Holmes)

What a fun scrap year! Border punches, 2-page layouts, misting, doilies...all things that made for some fun layouts this year! There are several pages here that I feel are so "me", and I'll definitely be scrap lifting them as I kick off 2011.

Happy New Year everyone!

Sharing some Sunday Market love

Here are my December layouts using My Little Shoebox's "Sunday Market". It's a fun little line that's bright and cheery. One would say that it's girly, but I hope I proved that you can use the blue in it to make a "boy" layout too! ;) I had fun with this one, but kept it pretty simple since the colors were so bold.

Wordless Wednesday

All dressed up, at THE Club for lunch, and then an afternoon at the theatre.

As a part of their Christmas, my step-mom gave the girls tickets to Disney's broadway production to Beauty and The Beast, "party" dresses for the special occasion, and a special lunch at The Club. They loved every minute of it!

No more dreaming!

because we had a WHITE Christmas!!! I was so excited to wake up Christmas morning and find that it had snowed, my first white Christmas ever! (My parents 1st one too. That's how rarely it's snows here, much less on Christmas Day) AND it continued to snow all throughout the day. It was so pretty to watch it fall while we opened presents. So peaceful and beautiful!

Of course I took pictures! LOTS of them! Here are a few of my favorites.

Okay, so that was most all my favorites! Got a little "add picture" happy. But it was so much fun! Caroline's favorite part of the day--not Santa, not opening presents, but "Hitting Daddy with snowballs!" Sarah Kate didn't last as long, only staying out about 30-45 min. That might have something to do with the giraffe print garden gloves she had to wear. (We're not that equipped for snow around here, or at least not the kids. Josh of course had his ski pants and Vail coat so he stay nice and warm.) And just so I don't get fussed at, Mac only stayed out about 5 min., was triple layered, and had on 2 hats. And he was sleeping when we took the family picture, not neglected.

So that was our white Christmas! No more dreaming of one, we actually got one! :D

Wordless Wednesday

Since a few other bloggers are doing it, I will too.
(And yes, if they jumped off a bridge I might too. But only if it was a part of The Amazing Race.)

Scenes from Monday. You can't beat snow and some hot "cocoa" as Caroline calls it.

Now I can share

The full reveal of my project for "Holly Jolly Holidays" over on the My Little Shoebox blog. I altered a gift bag that use to be a baby boy present. I like the idea of re-purposing my (many) gift bags, because I can also personalize especially for the person I plan on giving it to.

Some other My Little Shoebox projects I forgot to share are these.

I did this card with a step-by-step tutorial
for the MLS November newsletter.

And this little sign using the "Harmony" line.

Just in case you're wondering the Holly Jolly Holidays event is still going on over on the My Little Shoebox blog. There are some great projects and cool inspiration over there! Go check them out!

Hope you're having a happy Tuesday!
Today we're choosing to remember Claire, and hugging my Sarah Kate just a wee bit tighter today!

***ETA: Me and my sweet girlie made cookies after I posted this. Her big sister took the pictures while they were baking in the oven. ;)

sneak peek

It's my day to share over on the My Little Shoebox blog as a part of the "Holly Jolly Holidays" event. Here's a sneak peek.
(psst! I used my Cricut Expression, Winter Woodland, and Winter Frolic cartridges.)

You can go check it out here.

Happy Saturday!
2 weeks til Christmas!!!

Shine Jesus Shine

This week while playing with the nativity scene, Caroline replaced the angel with one of our disco ball ornaments "so Jesus could shine".

Love that girl! :D

You might be addicted to scrapping when...

Okay so here's the story...It's was really cold earlier in the week and the girls and I aren't quite used to that yet. So, a few days ago I decided we all needed to get out of the house. We ended up at McDonald's and their PlayPlace, which I've decided is the perfect little outing to meet everyone's needs. You see, I also had a few deadlines I had to meet, so I had packed up a few of my scrap supplies as well. (I always feel like I'm wasting time just sitting there watching them play. Thus the scrap stuff.) And there I was IN MCDONALDS scrapping, making a few cards, while the girls played (happily) and the baby slept (soundly). I *think* I might be addicted to scrapbooking! hehe! But like I said the girls played, I scrapped, and the baby slept, so we were all happy, right? right.

And get this---I wasn't the only one scrapping there! Another mom was working on a My Minds Eye 2011 calendar. Yes that made me smile. :) And here's what resulted:

(All product from Echo Park's Merry Christmas line)

SO tell me. Just how addicted are you? Tell me you've done this too! hehe!

Happy Friday all!

Tag Along

Being the third child McClain is learning quickly to tag along and just go with the flow. I took this pic of him back in Oct. at the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival downtown. He's just as content and as happy as can be in his car seat, not a care in the world.

I thought the Echo Park airplanes went nicely with the tag along theme (plus they're my favorite pattern in the Little Boy line). I drew by hand the banner streaming from behind the airplane then added the alphabet stickers to it. Thought I'd mix it up a little bit.

Anyway, just thought I'd do a quick share!

Happy Wednesday!
