Some cards for ya!

It's been Finals week over at the Nook and making a set of cards was one of the Finals. This set has a wedding theme even though it doesn't look like it. The challenge had to do with the old adage, "Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue."

my something old...Jenni Bowlin paper from 2007

something new...Bella Blvd. "One Fall Day"
(from my Scrapcetera kit)

something borrowed...
(artifact couldn't be scrap related)
so I found a heart shaped diary key in our junk drawer

and something blue...
also from the remnants of my Scrapcetera kit
The fifth card you see up top is a wedding card, which was also a part of the challenge. I found a Celtic cross online and printed it off. Then I ruffled some paper behind it and popped it up on Pop Dots. I guess you could say I made my first hybrid card with that one! hee!

The twist in this Final was that we also had to be creative with the sizes and shapes of our cards. We had to make a perfectly square card, a circle card, a traditional 5.5 x 4.25 card, a shaped card, and then a card size/shape of our choice.

So there you have it. Some cards for ya! ;)
Hope you've had a great Wednesday!
